Excellence in Residential Painting requires excellence in web site design.
When people need a contractor, such as an electrician, plumber, carpenter, painter, etc.,they ask their friends for references. Successful contractors get enough work, that they don’t need a lot of marketing. Good references, a yard and truck sign, and well dressed employees go a long way to getting new business.
But today, the internet is becoming (has become) the primary source for information gathering. When we want to gain information about a product or appliance we wish to buy, or if we are considering the services of a major corporation, we look up their web site. But most contractors don’t have the time to work on a web site. Their too busy making a living. Nevertheless, more and more consumers expect to find information on-line—even about their house painters. Paolinopainting.com was designed just for that.
Since it’s almost always the lady of the house who chooses the painter, the site has what ladies tend to like: pictures and colors to catch the eye. But, generally the man of the house has some influence, so the site is also very clean and relatively fast loading without a lot of excess.
The site navigation replicates the paint-color strips used in the painting industry. This allowed me to get a nice color punch on each page. getting the colors to change with a rollover (without java script) was quite a challenge. But the end result is a nice looking web site that is not only XHTML 1.1 compliant, but also looks good and the dreaded Internet Explorer for Windows.
Coming soon to this web site will be photo gallery of some of his work. Although, most photographs can’t capture the beauty and impact a great paint job (a poor paint job can looks exactly the same in a photo), customers still like to see them, and they make great eye-candy.
